Author Guideline

Perspectives in Education, Development & Social Sciences (PEDS) welcomes high-quality submissions from scholars, practitioners, and researchers across the fields of education, development, and social sciences. To ensure uniformity, transparency, and smooth processing of manuscripts, authors are requested to follow the below guidelines carefully:

1. Submission Format

  • Manuscripts must be submitted in MS Word format (.doc/.docx).

  • The text should be typed in Times New Roman, 12-point font, double-spaced with 1-inch margins on all sides.

  • Use headings and subheadings consistently and clearly.

2. Word Limit

  • Full-length manuscripts should be between 4,000–8,000 words (excluding references, tables, and appendices).

  • Short communications or brief reports should not exceed 3,000 words.

3. Abstract & Keywords

  • Each submission must include an abstract of 150–250 words summarizing the purpose, methodology, key findings, and implications of the study.

  • The abstract should be followed by 4–6 keywords that capture the essence of the paper.

4. Authorship Policy

  • A maximum of 4 authors are allowed per manuscript.

  • Exceptions for additional authors may be considered if properly justified (e.g., multi-disciplinary collaborative research).

  • The corresponding author must clearly provide full contact details (email address and institutional affiliation).

5. Referencing Style

  • Authors must follow the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition referencing style.

  • All in-text citations must strictly match the reference list at the end of the manuscript.

  • References should be complete, accurate, and formatted consistently.

6. Figures, Tables & Illustrations

  • Figures, graphs, and tables must be high quality, numbered consecutively, and clearly labeled.

  • Each figure or table must be accompanied by a descriptive title and source (if applicable).

  • Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for any copyrighted material used.

7. Types of Submissions Accepted

PEDS publishes a wide range of scholarly contributions, including:

  • Research Articles – Original empirical studies with clearly defined objectives, methodology, and findings.

  • Review Papers – Comprehensive evaluations of existing literature on relevant themes.

  • Case Studies – In-depth analyses of specific cases offering practical or theoretical insights.

  • Theoretical/Conceptual Papers – Articles focusing on theory-building, frameworks, or conceptual debates.

  • Short Communications – Concise contributions presenting preliminary findings, commentary, or methodological notes.

8. Language & Style

  • Submissions must be written in clear, academic English.

  • Authors should avoid grammatical errors and ensure clarity of expression.

  • Where necessary, manuscripts should be proofread before submission.

9. Ethical Considerations

  • All manuscripts must comply with the journal’s Publication Ethics Policy (see Section 5).

  • Research involving human participants must indicate compliance with relevant ethical standards and institutional approval.

10. Submission Process

  • Authors must submit manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system (OJS platform).

  • Each manuscript will be acknowledged upon receipt and processed according to the double-blind peer review policy.
