Peer Review Policy
Perspectives in Education, Development & Social Sciences (PEDS) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity, objectivity, and transparency in the review process. To ensure rigorous quality control, the journal follows a double-blind peer review system, in which both reviewers and authors remain anonymous throughout the process.
Initial Screening
-
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial evaluation by the Editorial Team to assess relevance, originality, clarity, and compliance with the journal’s submission guidelines.
-
Manuscripts that do not meet the basic criteria may be returned to authors for revision or declined without external review.
Review Process
-
Suitable manuscripts are sent to at least two independent reviewers who are recognized experts in the subject area.
-
Reviewers are selected based on their academic expertise, impartiality, and absence of conflict of interest.
-
The review process is designed to be constructive, fair, and timely, helping authors improve the quality of their work.
Reviewer Guidelines
-
Reviewers are expected to provide detailed, evidence-based, and constructive comments within 4–6 weeks of receiving the manuscript.
-
The evaluation focuses on originality, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, contribution to the field, and ethical compliance.
-
All reviewer reports are treated with strict confidentiality and are not shared beyond the editorial team and the corresponding author.
Editorial Decisions
Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the editorial decision may be one of the following:
-
Accept (without revisions)
-
Accept with Minor Revisions
-
Major Revisions Required (resubmission for further review)
-
Reject
The final decision regarding publication rests with the Editor-in-Chief, who considers the reviewers’ feedback, the author’s response, and the overall contribution of the manuscript to the journal’s aims and scope.
Appeals and Resubmissions
Authors who wish to appeal an editorial decision may contact the editorial office with a detailed justification. Resubmitted manuscripts will be reconsidered in light of the revised content and reviewers’ comments.
